Born and raised in the suburbs of Rome, Italy Daniele Truocchio is an immigrant composer and music producer based in Los Angeles. He is one of the few film composers to ever make it into the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 Entertainment list alongside artists such as Adele, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and popular rock band Måneskin, to name a few.
Truocchio’s scores include 3-time Telly Awards winner The Relentless One co-scored with acclaimed composer Mike Suby (The Vampire Diaries), as well as collaborations on over 100 episodes of mainstream television including Legacies (The CW), God Friended Me (CBS), Pretty Little Liars (Freeform), feature films such as Netflix‘s Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile (starring Zack Efron), as well as 3 times Emmy Nominated Documentary The Weight of Success. Among many others he has also scored “New York International Film Awards” best score main theme winner In Between, “Hamilton Black Film Festival” best feature film winner Memoirs Of A Black Girl, and the seventeen-time award-winning short film The Essence of Everything.
Daniele’s music journey began at the age of 7 studying guitar and performing his first live show at the age of 10 together with his two brothers. A truly life-changing experience happened during his teenage years becoming the chosen mentee of Senegalese guitarist and composer Peace Diouf which, through intense training (à la The Karate Kid) that lasted several years, offered Daniele an open-minded understanding of world music and sounds.
He has studied classical composition and guitar at the Italian Conservatory, and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston with a minor in Africana Studies. He is a national voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Emmys) and of The Recording Academy (Grammys). Daniele is married to Food Scientist Giorgia Geovanna Luzi.
